Overview
SANAD is a free Arabic Qur'an reading and daily-practice app. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, purchases, subscriptions, or developer-operated backend. The developer does not collect user data through the app.
Data stored on your device
Reading position, bookmarks, preferences, Prayer Times settings and saved context, and Tasbih state are stored locally on your device. You can remove this data by deleting the app.
Location and Apple geocoding
If you grant permission, SANAD uses Apple Core Location for coordinates used by Prayer Times and Qibla, and device heading for the Qibla compass. SANAD may ask Apple's geocoding service to resolve coordinates into place, country, and timezone context. This means coordinates may be processed by Apple under Apple's privacy terms. SANAD does not operate a server that receives or stores your location. Prayer-time astronomy and the Qibla bearing are calculated in the app.
Network activity
The Arabic Qur'an corpus is bundled with the app and can be read without a network connection. SANAD opens Tanzil source information and Apple legal pages only after you tap the corresponding link. The app contains no advertising, analytics, purchase, subscription, Hadith-provider, audio-provider, or generative-AI service integration.
Your choices
You may deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings. The Qur'an reader and Tasbih do not require location permission. Deleting SANAD removes its locally stored app data from your device.
